Just wondering if anyone else played Lone Star yesterday.
There proved to be some hidden gems and several tough beats. 2nd : Keyed with Salty Tam ( 6-1 ) and left out three horses in an 8 horse field. One of them beats me at 24-1. Not brilliant. 6th : Lights on Broadway ( 17-1 ) looked big time live. Got beat a lip for 2nd. Winner was 30-1 and in spite of my red board mastery, I couldn't get to him. Did anyone use this horse and if so, why ? 7th : Valodora ( 29-1 ) gets me the money just moments after the Met Mile. An ugly two days of losing gone in a matter of moments. Somehow, Dyna Likes Bingo (42-1 ) goes by Infritass (sp) in the last jump to blow up my exacta. Dyna still looks hopelessly outmatched. 10th : Royal Spy (5-1) wins by a pole with a sheet that looks better than the 6-5 favorite. For some reason, I decided to gamble Sat and Sun without our trusty TG's. Huge mistake. Yesterday I loaded the entire LS card and the Met Mile and lo and behold, I whacked 'em around a little. Thanks.
