It's funny isn't it, that the ones that are indelibly etched into your mind are the ones that got away?

I liked that crop but I admit I was clueless about the Mane Man.

Strike the Gold, Hansel, Corporate Report, Sea Cadet, Fly So Free, Man Alright, Lost Mountain, Best Pal, Richman...I know there were others but 50% of my brain is a non-corrosive light weight metal.

This may sound bizarre, but for me there is some solace in losing, but nevertheless knowing that I was right.

Good call...do you remember what commie pinko rat bastages rode him? It was Alexis Solis wasn't it? Most handicappers don't realize it but Solis had the mount on Spectacular Bid in the '79 Belmont and Native Dancer in the '53 Derby.
(Bastages is a Basque term which means: "take him back and go wide".)
