You might consider the layoff of 12 weeks after those two consecutive efforts at 3 week intervals to be a negative.
Those were my feelings on this horse, although in fairness my numbers also showed a three point regression in his last race which made
it seem likely to me that he would need a race. From a current form standpoint I believe to expect a win here was asking alot.
Just one man's opinion. On the flipside it could be argued that you got a fair price to offset the risk of questionable form.
However one thing I think we're all attempting to do when using sheet style handicapping is bet on horses we believe will deliver-
maximum effort today. I preferred Cat Thief strongly in that regard. Unfortunately he went off favored, but I still think the price
was fair at least for a small bet under the circumstances.
