: I've heard Baffert has said he's going to 'rewrite history' with this horse. He runs today (Sat) in Race1 at SA. How do you evaluate the fact that he ran a such a low number breaking his maiden? Does the fact that he worked a mile in 1:35 validate this number? I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, is he a play now, wait and see, or definite play against. Perhaps another Orville and Wilbur's?

He could be a monster - his first out was one of the fastest debuts ever (Formal Gold was fastest).
But betting one number horses second out at short prices is a good way to go broke, especially switching to two turns. TGJB
