: : In regards to Saratoga's 9th yesterday (8/2), Can you
: : advise why you chose Watchmenow when in my analysis, the
: : horse appeared to be on a "0-2-X" with an 11 (which was
: : close enough to its previous top of 10-2 on 12/20/98), and a
: : 13 and heading for the "X"? Thanks.

: In the same race, I keyed Miss Dixie Dream thinking that she was
: due to run a new top. She didn't. Any thoughts? Thanks

Watchmenow did have an 02 entering the race but 1. She had 6 weeks rest since the 2 race; 2. also when she ran tops before she bounced to 15s, this time she didn't, only 13. The horse is in better shape than she's ever before and the trainer knew. That's why he rested her. So I thought at least. You have to be careful with 02s don't automatically assume the X is coming.

Miss Dixie Dream has an ugly line. In three races this year she couldn't get back to her 3yo top. Secondly while she shows an X0X pattern suggesting a big race the last X is worse than she's run in 2 years. Tough to expect her running a top off this or even a good race. TGAB
