Agree with you on the diversity of approaches issue, and if you can make the pars work for you at the windows, there is no arguing with success. I confess total ignorance about Hawthorne, although if those horses are consistent as you say but just slow, I'm still having trouble seeing why their races are more subject to chaos factors than others.

Anyway, although I disagree with you on the logic of your approach (except perhaps with maiden claimers) lots of smart guys, including my favorite analyst Mark Cramer, agree with you. Thanks for a good chat.
