Pursuant to requests for a selection, using par times, prior to the completion of the race. I made an effort to purchase TGs prior to race day. After swinging a live chicken around my head three times before breaking the seal on the package I looked at the card. Tough one for 10-01. A lot of maiden races with first time starters and slow footed runners and low level claiming. Only the fifth race qualifies on par times. Only two ladies, out of seven entrants, qualify on par times. The morning line favorite Delicate Play and a morning line 15 to 1, Tempery Lady. Delicate plays last three figs from most recent to least recent are 16, 14 and 22 (turf route). Entering this race off an 0 2 line. However, her line indicates the possibility of moving forward rather than an x move. Temperey Lady's last three figs 25.2 (route), 17 and 16 (route). This race is competitive at a 16 as every filly or mare can run a 16. But keying on the fact only Delicate Play and Tempery Lady won at better than par for this
Best Bet: 2nd race Gunleather. Drop from MSW into a slow field with best number a 20, while Gunleather overlays the field with several 16s and 17s. Showed early speed at routes and turning back to sprint so should have pace and stamina advantage. Will be the favorite with Guidry on board and I don't like him on my selections.
