: Friends, don't know where you've all been the last 30 years, but the games not getting any easier.

: Why, mostly because there aint enough DUMB MONEY in the game. I played pro for over 25 years. Used track bias , board reading, and parade watching , not to mention home grown speed figures all that time. Lot's of work.

: Forget about paying anyone for picks. Suckers game at best. Sheets are fine, if you are a skilled reader and are good at some other things that give you some perspective.

: But the ugly truth is that except for a very few, using inside info, or betting HUGE sums and getting rebates, horse racing is a poor way to try and get well.

: In case you haven't noticed, all the smart gamblers have moved their tack to the STOCK MARKET. Billion dollar pools and plenty of dumb money out there to scalp. I'm outta the horse game.

: Good luck to all.

Horse racing is the best gambling there is since it is less capital intensive than anything else in the casino, with better potential payout (especially in the exotics). How can you compare this to the stock market? With a few hundred bucks you can go to the track and make a nice score. In the stock market, a few hundred bucks will get you nothing. Sorry you are giving up the game but comparing horse racing to the market is apples and oranges. Have been in the market for ten years and there are no easy scores anywhere. Everything takes hard work and nobody wins all the time. Stockman.
