: : : Did anyone else get killed at Gulfstream Wednesday? Besides the two first time starters, the other winners had numbers between 5 and 10 points higher than the horses I bet. If they ran the races again I would not have given a look at any of the winners. Any thoughts?
: : Yes, I too unfortunately played and got killed at GP on Wednesday. Played:
: : Honey West in the 4th - never thought she would be the favorite.
: : Tweedside in the 6th - keyed on him and got crushed. Thought would run back to the 9 which would have layed over the field. Guess needing a race in Floriday might hold true.
: : Siren Song in the 8th - second wasn't good enough
: : Chief Gossip in the 9th - second wasn't good enough
: : La Spezia in the 10th - closed the day shut out.
: : Gulfstream seems to be a real tough place right now. Thinking Fairgrounds might be the place to be wagering.
: That's why alot of people wait at least 2 wks into a big meet like Gulfstream, Saratoga, Bel etc where you have a lot of horses shipping in from all over the country.
I agree totally with OPM. Gulfstream is so tempting. Big fields and vulnerable favorites. I can't hit the side of a barn there. By far my worst ROI is at Gulfstream. Saratoga is second. I don't seem to have those problems at Belmont, or anyplace else for that matter. This is over a 20 year period so I'm not touching GP this season. HP
