: : : : : : Saw that Empress Tour ran 4 wide while Street Cry was 1w yet Tour earned a 2 while Cry earned a 3, what gives?

: : : : : *********

: : : : : Regardless of the number, anyone who saw the race should be able to tell you that Cry is immeasurably more talented than Tour. He came from a seemingly impossible position and had the race in the bag. Unfortunately he is a born loser which is why he will also be 2nd or 3rd in the derby, but I was really impressed with his last race anyway.

: : : : TG--Actually we have Express Tour closer to 3.5 wide and Street Cry 1.5 wide, a difference of 2 paths which equals about 1 point. Express Tour ran outside, a farther distance of ground, and justifiably gets credited with the better effort. TGAB

: : : I thought that 1 path equals 1 pt or is this just for 6f?

: : TG--One path equals about 1 point at 5f. TGAB

: either way, i think both are equal to the task. does anyone have info on the sires & dams. Mach. & tour D'our?

********

bloodhorse.com has some good derby pedigree analysis. Street Cry is up there (they claim he won't stay, which seems like bollocks to me, though it could explain some of the hanging).
