Mike, maybe the best backhanded compliment ever on this board. Cut the man a
break! And by the way, Sekrah, no picks for the last two races? Mercy rule?
Seems as if Sekrah could have had a big night if he had been drinking the
undiluted Kool Aide, would have had Bradester and the turf winner from the
outside post at nice prices.
In an attempt to provide the same sort of entertainment and enlightenment that
Sekrah did, I will sometime in the near future provide full card commentary on
a card from Sha Tin....in Chinese.
Last race at Bel yesterday reminded me of my old friend Ed, who used to yell
"Don't fall off" if his horse took a decent lead in the stretch. What a
nightmare if you needed the Weaver horse in any wager; the horse galloped away
from the incident, haven't heard about L.Saez' condition.
Most importantly, HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all T-generates out there. I've met the
children of the erstwhile NC Tony, JB, Jimbo, Sean and others, and it amazes
me that such "pre-occupied" fathers have raised such normal, upstanding
children; same for Frank D., this year's most significant Belmont Day scratch,
whose son coaches competitive swimmers in Michigan.
A great day in Living Room Downs (and the adjoining sun drenched veranda
overlooking Raritan Bay) with what should be a very compelling final
round of the US Open from Oakmont (watching golf on TV an essential step in
preparing for this year's TG Open).
