The amazing thing is how long things like this usually take in the United States. How long does it take to find a photo and look at it? Why do patrons have to be treated to one or more slow-motion reruns of the pan shot rather than just looking at a relevant photo?

And stewards' decisions: how long does it take you to decide whether a horse should be taken down? The stewards should already have decision in mind before they talk to the jocks and, in most cases, be prepared to announce it almost immediately thereafter.
