You have to be impressed with what you saw in Gun Runner. They weren't going to the lead for fear of duel but when other speed didn't go he went and CRUSHED the field. This is a really solid race horse who danced many of the big dances last year at 3, wasn't up to the really good ones and now looks like he is the best around excluding Arrogate. Who is from another planet
Forever Unbridled wasn't supposed to be ready. Looking for better things down the road. And then won under a hand ride at a higher than ML price of even money even with a big slam of a late push.
Kasaqui was 6-1 ML and went off at 3-1. Some smart people got paid. Not me I took the runnerup. Winner won 60% of his career earnings last year at 6. Previously had once run at CD and fell and was vanned off.
Fifth Title owned by some really good friends has now won 2 in a row. Named after University of Kentucky basketballs 5th Title which was in 1978 and his HIP# was 1978. This horse had physical issues early that could be behind him. Got to the lead in his last and stopped running. The development of every race horse can be different. Those first 3 needed one thing. More time!
Happy Fathers Day Everyone!!!
