Turf was No Where near yielding, although listed as such all day and never amended. Riders did not come back very dirty, no sod being kicked up at all. The course was starved for water, took the previous days steady rain very well and quickly dried on a sunny day with a breeze. Good should have been the designation.
Where are the pool watchers?
Yesterday's 3rd race saw No Hiding Place enter the gate @5/2 odds flash on the backside went to 8/5. That's a pretty hefty plunge into a 261K win pool.
I have no issue with the DQ in the race,it negatively effected me on a pretty good double bet. Once again the stewards inconsistency rears it's ugly head with the non take down in The Hopeful which saw Dale Romans in full animation screaming up to the stewards.
