A couple of differing approaches in the last few days. A few questions before you look at the links below to frame the issues a bit.

1. Will the 2019 Kentucky Derby be the first with a 6 month withdrawal period for steroids in the history of the race?

2. Does California not want the truth to be revealed? Richiebee once wrote (paraphrasing so my apologies for butchering this) that what goes on in training is what really matters. I'm sorry,....please let me re-word my own question. Does California not want to be a place that is considered to be cleaning up the game via OOC testing? I really like that the Trainers out there don't object to OOC testing in principle....but in practice it is a really bad idea apparently. BRILLIANT!!

I can't help but cut and paste one quote from Dr. Rick Arthur from the second article:

"Everyone also knows when we are going to test the horses—right after the race," he said. "That is pretty easy to plan around if you are bent on cheating. ... Here is the question for this board and the leaders in this sport—do you want a real anti-doping program or not? Bluntly, without an (out-of-competition) program with teeth, you won't have one."
