My understanding is a figure is a figure. The 3 consecutive neg 3 1/4's are impressive, and there is no adjustment for a "favorable scenario". Everything is already factored into the figure-ie, was he wide, carrying more weight, start slow, taken up, etc. However, if the horse won while being eased up, or ran on a dead rail, the sheet tells us that (!, or X to the right of the figure) also.
