I read where Mark Casse said (it's cited in another thread on this board) that Gaffalione shouldn't have been put in that position where he had to make a claim, that it was on the stewards to flash what seemed like an obvious Inquiry (or at least would have been in nearly any other race). Casse said Tyler has to live with these guys every day, or in every big race, and it just wasn't easy to knock down another jock in the biggest race of the year simply to move up from 8th to 7th. Flavien Prat, on the other hand, was playing for all the marbles
