DAMA DE NOCHE aka Lady Of The Night is both a tropical flower and the #11 in the opener @ GP Thurs the day after Christmas. Once again TG thank you for your generosity this time of the year.
The TG# marks this one as borderline competitive, that is to say an improvement of a couple of points is needed to be a legit contender for a piece (imo).
If one watches a replay of this young filly's first race one will see she started poorly spotting the field some five lengths in short order. Then she lounged around at the rear of the 12 horse field until the second turn at which point she made a strong run along the inside to finish 6th less than 3 lengths back. Oh Yea, and she was 140/1.
Today's m/l is shown @ 20/1, Santiago Gonzales is up again and he's a breakeven proposition in turf routes according to BRIS stats. They went :47 in her first start so none of the pacesetters were running away at the finish.
Today she'll start in PP #11 which could present some difficulty (ground loss) if she doesn't dwell today and tries to gain position early.
She's a daughter of Musketier (GER) who was an interesting horse if memory serves adept on both dirt and turf and an under the radar sire.
I hope they are on the lawn today but she'll be my first investment today in either case.
