I consider Randy a friend, but I would be more interested in what Baffert thinks before a race than after. That’s why he buys sheets, both ours and (last I heard) Ragozin’s.
The track changed speed a little throughout the card, but not too much. And it was 2-3 hours between that allowance and those stakes. Gamine also got in light and saved ground relative to By My Standards and Nadal, which will inflate her raw figure if you don’t adjust for those things.
Routes on the day were very straightforward, even the 1 3/4 race. Those of us who bet the winner of that one got lucky, he ran about the same figure as 4 others.
Anyway, first 3 in the Gamine race basically paired their tops. Not a tough one.
