According to Jay Privman, this possibly was Baffert's greatest training feat of all time.
"Seriously that might be Baffert's greatest training feat yet. This horse looked like he wanted no part of 10f earlier this year but he trained the **** out of him in recent weeks at Del Mar and he pulled it off. No excuse for Tiz the Law. Honor A.P. got crushed at the start."
Curious, does Privman actually believe this???? Wow, if so.
The horse knocked Baffert on his a$$ in the winner's circle. Guess he was worked up from the 170k people at the Derby.
Thousand Words lost his cool from all the commotion and fans in the paddock, flipped and was scratched.
The greatest dirt trainer of all time has two hot tempered horses that he didn't have ready to deal with the new surroundings at Churchill Downs.
Horse broke poorly, rushed up after that which never works after a poor break in a two turn race, set fast fractions, and then pulled away in the stretch when he clearly "kicked it in again."
That's solid, old school training. (Hahahaahaha)
I bet $42 in between the time of Ark Derby Day (Baffert won both heats) and the Kentucky Derby weekend (Baffert won after one of his scr in the paddock). My money means nothing; I told friends to use this horse a week ago b/c of the Baffert "angle"....ask Tom Wrongly what I mean as he knows the score here. No sour grapes here as I called it before it even happened but what you are seeing isn't right.
4500 micro share owners of a horse valued at 17 million long ago is worth a look. Read all you can about this to know about the people in this game.
People wonder why the game isn't growing when they should be thriving.
I lost just under $200 on the weekend, a meaningless amount even by my betting standards. A poster long ago used to often compare racing to cycling and I thought he was a crackpot....after watching the Lance ESPN special this summer....i'm convinced racing needs to look harder at what happened there to see what's actually going on ....
There were no fancy drugs involved, says Landis. Just repeated blood doping (removing blood, storing it in the fridge, and then transfusing it back into the body during the race) and the use of testosterone to aid recovery between races.......If memory serves, the exact wording of the cheating denial Lance Armstrong usually uses is "I have never used performance-enhancing drugs." https://www.businessinsider.com/heres-how-lance-armstrong-cheated-at-the-tour-de-france-2010-7#:~:text=Here%27s%20How%20Lance%20Armstrong%20Cheated,De%20France%20(Per%20Floyd%20Landis)&text=There%20were%20no%20fancy%20drugs,to%20aid%20recovery%20between%20races.
FrankD and I can agree on one thing, Nero keeps fiddling.....
