MIND CONTROL looks a lot like FIRENZE FIRE - if you like one, it is hard to pass on the other. For each one, toss out the off track runs and see what’s left. He has won four races at 7f and the bulk of this millionaire's earnings (70%) have come at this distance. I think his form is a bit dirtied up given Beyer did not give him a number close to his TG figure, so his odds may hold. Given the spacing of his races and when he fires and when he doesn't, it seems like it is a consequence of the off tracks - not the big efforts as they do not time align as he had three months off before the on poor effort - should have been plenty of time to recover.
ABSOLUTELY AIDEN showed none of his typical speed last time at Kee and seemed to get shuffled back and lacked room – I expect him to be on the pace this time around and he could run better as his last couple of figures before that were pretty good.
The numbers for ENGAGE first off the layoff are not very strong, but in his 2YO, 3YO and 4YO season those numbers have jumped 3-4 points in the next race off similarly timed layoffs - if his pattern repeats, he already got the slow one out of the way.
SLEEPY EYES TODD cuts back in distance and often shows speed in routes - a strong combination for 7f. He has never been this distance, but does have some strong races and decent figs.
