I suspect certain power trainers who have horses on multiple circuits (Asmussen, Diodoro, Broberg) have only 1 go-to “A” private vet. That is… er, a guy who’s “most aggressive medically.” If that vet services Broberg’s Remington meet, he can’t be with him at the beginning of Oaklawn. The guy takes an-end-of-year vacation and then shows up in February at Broberg’s barn. Suddenly, the barn returns to life. His horses pop. Something like that. Not too far-fetched a scenario. The private vets behind closed doors effect/control the game, including the Baffert situation. And of course, no one talks about them. They’re invisible to the public at large. You’d think after the Derby DQ that the racing press would interview NOT BAFFERT, but his private vets! Right? WRONG! Not a peep! No so-called journalist dared to ask Baffert’s vet a question!
