I have no clue how or even if you should bet this race, but this is one of the strongest two-year old races I've ever seen in Deauville today. I'd be willing to take on the Aidan O'Brien runner Gstaad (I always think of the pawn shop scene in Trading Places when I hear that city--in Philadelphia it's worth 50 bucks) with Wesley Ward's monster--not sure how the straight course changes anything--and at least three potential superstars are in this race. Outfielder was a tick off the track record in his debut at Churchill--not sure how much that means on their grass course, but he was incredibly visually impressive. Even the filly Venetian Sun is no slouch. Throw in a Charlie Appleby star, Wise Approach, for fun. If Gstaad trounces these, I'll be really impressed. Enjoy!
