First off let me say thanks for the Holiday Gift and Happy Holidays to everyone here. 2025 was a really good year and I'm looking for an even better 2026.
I have wagered one day since Breeders Cup and that was last Saturday at FG. Total handle $60. That's it. There are so many good people involved in Racing and the horses are beautiful animals that it can make the experience attractive. But when the "House and the Powers That Be" decide to corrupt things for their own personal gain then it becomes a non wagering experience. And the attraction fades. It's like a Hot High Maintenance Babe who can't be trusted and won't put out. She won't last a month and quit wasting your time and money. Boom, the attraction is gone
On Sunday Santa Anita puts on a good Card. Lets see if it holds before Vets start scratching horses with 4 legs in the Gate. For the record I bet Barnes in the Jerkins and at Keeneland in his last race. In the Jerkins he was loaded under Jose and in traffic. Took the outside route while Patch who was on his inside took the rail. He got out finished and flat out got beat. The Keeneland race good but not great. And now here we are in a Grade One with a pattern, timing and more maturity that should produce a New Top. The last two works have been identical to Cornucopian. They have to be working in company. And these weren't 4 furlong breezes in 49. If he gets bet down to odds on he cant be played. If he goes off at 3-1 or 5/2 (but how will you know) I may wager that whole $60 on him. And if he doesn't I won't bet. It's as easy as dumping her....
