Not a particularly exciting card, but there were two pretty decent 3 year old performances, and one interesting one.
The Ginger Brew winner, Sister Troienne, is a Munnings out of a Lemon Drop Kid. 4 for 5 now with wins on three tracks. A good time, but the turf is pavement, so who knows.
Sweeping Shadow, a FL bred curiously spotted in an MOC, put up a solid 6F time for a track that was very slow. Drew off by 7. Girvn out of a Goldencents suggests there's more on offer. Trainer only banks a few hundred K a year.
The interesting one is the MMM winner. This race hasn't produced much in a while, but Commandment, looks like he may be something. Stuck in behind horses, but broke free to win by almost 7 in the stretch. The interesting thing was how he went after the wire - just kept going into the backstretch while putting half a turn between the rest of the field. Into Mischief, with Orb and Deputy Minister on the bottom.
