Really good story at drf.com by Nicole Russo. I loved Forty Niner and began betting on him at 2 and bet him in the Derby. Distorted Humor was a nice off spring with I guess a solid looking line....so Jerry Brown told the Preston Brothers to buy him. He looked good but not great. The Chicago guy who owned him was like a Commodity Flipper. The value went up so "Sell".
I believe Eliott Walden was training him next. And he became a very solid 4YO Sprinter going 7F. Track Record at either Churchill going 7F or Keeneland or both. The duration of him being a Cash Cow story for Winstar can't be underestimated. Since that group purchased the place and we're just getting started. And man have they thrown some really fast horses.
These are the kinds of stories when you reflect back on your career and think about the good you did. And collectively everyone can say "that was us"
