I looked up the PP's of Chiefs Crown last night in my PP Book "Champions". He closed out his career as 3YO who lost the 2nd ever Breeders Cup Classic. The prior years 2YO Champion finished with 21 Career starts. Unbelievable by today's standards.

This was only 40 years ago, the 1st and 2nd Breeders Cups ever and what has since happened to the Breed? Is this a legacy and contribution to mankind? Loyal fans appreciate the effort and hard work and the study and marriage of exotic genes. But could we get the old Product on the Dirt and Turf back?
