Thoughts on the day:

st- Wide open race. ML fave very vulnerable here. Any of several could win, but to pick a couple, will take 5-1 on the Noble Confessor (Pletcher). Don't love the pattern but time off may take care of that. Also Our Super Hero (Casse) at 8-1. Lightly raced and moving in the right direction. The AEs will be dangerous if they get in, especially Uncle's Gold.

nd - Mostly maiden firsters. Will let recent works and the tote decide for me here.

rd - The Lynch horse deserves fave status, but will go with I C Light at 10-1. Distance jump up, but has 2nd best fig in here. Pattern says another move forward. Will play Zepplin under the fave, saving ground from the inside draw. Maybe a flier on Knotty Knicks.

th - Wolfie looks best in here and is even money, but the horse has to go back some time. Ft. Washington looks like he needed one last out, and a return to form puts him right there. Same thing could be said of Battle of Normandy for exotics. Beach Gold's pattern says a big one could be coming.

th - Another maiden. Usually like playing unraced in these, but there are a couple with first out figs. Of those, the value is Royal Crescent. Hoping Quality Road does better than Youpon on the stretch out. Will play Hickman Creek if lost on the board.

th - Think Sister Troienne takes all the money here, which leaves a solid price on Sapphire Beach. Distance a real question but last out fig is the best here. Spirit Doll has every reason to move forward off of the solid pair and has been a mile.

th - Knightsbridge is the star of the show. Mika is at least as fast, though the last race was concerning. Maybe hated the extra distance. Could see Flying Liam in the exacta which will make it pay no matter who wins.

th - Another wide open turf. Getting 4-1 on Pletcher/JV seems like stealing, but I'll probably get greedy here. Can't play Burnham off that layoff. Dashman has the same issue but will be a longer price. Bonus Move looks to have found his distance.

th- Horsepower has clearly the best fig, but pattern says backwards move. 8 horses could hit the board here. TG expects a move forward from Prevent, which maybe wins this. Classic Mo Town could get back to his best, which also probably wins it here at 10-1. Palazzi likes the track and, yes, getting back to his best is probably good enough - and is 12-1. Private Thoughts hasn't been out of the tri in 9 races. Hell, Act A Fool has one race on the plastic, and that puts him in the mix at 20-1. Will play the board, but I will probably land on Ciao Chuck, who put up a very good fig off of a 300 day layoff. Gets Prat. Could seem myself spending a lot here and not getting paid.

th- Tossing Candy Quest. Sammy Jo looks good, but will pair with Vanencia. May take a flyer on Just Basking. Oddly placed here, but assuming Wilkes knows what he's doing 2nd off a layoff.

th - On Time Girl will be bet down. Swing Vote has last out best fig, albeit shorter. Might get 4-1, and the jump on the fave. Imperatrice will improve off the pair, and will be in the exotics with She So Smooth - who looked the real deal at first asking at this distance.

th- Lush Lips vulnerable here. A pair from Crevalle probably wins this. Long shot play with Souper Zonda, she is improving and clearly likes the surface - breaking from the inside helps too. If Saffie gets Public Defender right, her best fig is good enough. Pattern is awful though. Movin on Up has the numbers at least as good as the top two, and will be somewhere around 5-1.

th - Layabout another vulnerable fave. Moving in the right direction, but there are 5 others with a better number on their sheet, and gives weight to the field. Dancin in Da'Nile looks stronger at 10-1. Grand Sonata needed a break, but has a number that lays over this field. Anegada looks like a bounce candidate to me off that big move on yl turf. Thoro pattern says another move forward, which would make him the winner. Echo Lane must be in exotics, though distance is a concern. A couple of others could be underneath as well. Tough race.

th - Liked Commandment until I saw that morning line. If Wallabee or Solo are at their ML numbers they are must plays. Solitude Dude's could steal it on the front end. His T-Pattern says top, but concerns me there has been no movement at all there.
