There's still time to run him back in 3 weeks, if they're that confident in the horse. I would think the clock would give them pause.
There were SEVEN races that went at least a mile (all one turn), and while his was the longest, it went 2nd slowest through the mile - only the VA bred fillies went slower. The other 5 were at least a second faster. A track record was set by a filly that won by a half length. Another race missed the old record by 2 hundreths. Point is that you'd have thought the track would have carried him forward. Doesn't say much for the rest of the field either - bar Incredibolt. Buetane had a bad trip, but still....
