The late richiebee once corrected a breeding mistake I made on the board soon after I jumped on here as a poster many moons ago. Specifically, I wrote that a certain horse was "Out of [insert the sire]" or it may have been "by [insert mare]." He explained the correct grammar usage in this regard. Truth be told, I knew the distinction but was in such a hurry to make my point that I rushed through the post. I never made that mistake again and am conscience of this in speaking and writing with others.
Steve, my apologies for this New York mistake. It is one that has a distinction that did not really matter to me. It was more of a blanket statement re: NY racing. You have pointed this out to others in the past. I will do my best to not make this mistake again as I do understand your point now that I have considered it further.
On another note, can you answer a question for me re: DRF formulator and Beyer figures? During a show with Welsch leading up to the Fountain of Youth, you made mention of checking to see if a Beyer figure was adjusted upward or downward. You looked during the interview and confirmed the number for a certain horse was adjusted a few points (It might have been Chief Wallabee although that's not important here). Can you tell me how you are able to see if a Beyer has been adjusted? I know and understand how Timeform flags their races with various letters to signify potential issues around a number. But I am not sure where or how I can see the Beyer changes. If this is something better explained by Person to Person message, I understand but am genuinely curious. If it is proprietary access I understand as well. Just wanted to add it to my arsenal if possible.
Apologies again and Thanks in advance.
