Absolutely, run ups change more on turf courses , and I do not apply that crude rule to them. Mostly use it when I just watch racing and not wagering, so using basic PP's without any figures, just practice making my own. The problem with those figures are they are about as good as the the Equibase speed figure.

One thing they should add to PP's is a notation in the running line for the splits for how wide the horse is, kind of like they do for harness horses being parked wide.
