A few notes for those interested in Friday's BES card:

Louisiana meets Maryland! Three Louisiana breds look to be major decisions for gamblers. Race 6 Little Miss Curlin the morning line favorite in the Ms Preakness for Asmussen. Asmussen figures to win the trainer's bonus they have been handing out for the past decade on this weekend. This one must be included.

La Bred Margie's Intention has 3 wins and 2 of them were in the slop (including last year's BES at Pim). She is the decision of the late p5. I really want to beat this horse but my confidence in any particular others is not strong. This race probably keeps me out of the late p5.

In the BES, Asmussen sends out La Bred Braken Pappa who likely goes as the 2nd choice? This one sends and My Miss Mo tracks or vice versa while the rest remain pace compromised and too slow??

A few interesting trainer notes: It is in the form that Linda Rice is 0 for her last 21 the past 2 years in graded stakes. Expanding upon that, she is 3 for her last 73 in graded stakes the past 5 years. Those 3 wins were all grade 3 dirt sprints. Toss Yo Daddy from the tickets if playing any of the horizontals including the two day sequences carrying into Praekness Day.

Brad Cox in Maryland the past 5 years is 39-11-10-6 (28% winners, 73% itm). 33 of those 39 starters were UNDER 4-1. His horses starting in Maryland get hammered at the windows. Margie's Intention, make no mistake, is the most singled horse of the late pick 5 sequence. If you can beat her, this sequence will pay well. As I said, I have not found anything in that race to pursue. I'll use Queen Azteca despite the No Lasix concern I have if I do play but this race has me thinking I stay away.

Use Me and Unmiztaken are serious contenders to upset Ultimate Love in the Hilltop. I really like Unmiztaken here. Watch her replay for more confidence on this one and surely stepped forward on all figures as a 3yo.

Race 11, The The Very One, The CT shipper will likely lead them with a few confirmed front runners. Malibu Hooch may be tracking the leaders closely and make a run at all of them in her first time on turf. This horse just worked 1:03.40 likely with stablemate Boujee Bubblez. Don't let the time fool you with the Dogs Up. The 4f bullet was 50 4/5 (and 2nd 4f time was 52 plus) on the turf that day. Boujee Bubblez has not run since Nov but won two of her last three on turf at 5.5f with winning Beyers of 80 and 79 in those 2 efforts as a 3yo filly (now 4yo like Malibu Hooch). McMahon may have something brewing here at a price.

If Unmiztaken or Malibu Hooch win Friday, I will win Friday. Good Luck as Preakness weekend approaches.
