I would be remiss on Belmont Weekend without a Woody Connection story. This years Kentucky Derby winner was bred at Claiborne Farm and there is no one more synonymous with Claiborne than Woody Stephens. He delivered a Derby with Swale. A Travers with Forty Niner. And back to back Breeders Cup Miles with Lure. No before you can say "hold on Shug trained Lure" I would say "you're right". But Woody trained Endear. The dam of Lure for Claiborne Farm.
The race itself looks like an absolute KILLER. Gilded Bandit has been touted as a good one. He backed up the talk last two. He might be 10-1. The race is insane. If the speed goes crazy who knows.
Considering I read his book it wold be a little better if I spelled his last name correctly....lol
