Oddly, or maybe not so, the betting patterns on both SAR winners were not exceptional .

These boys were not betting at the track. Even the second winner, touted on TV and lets face it, even those with short memories realized his first starter had galloped, took only a fairly modest amount of win money .

Very little 'hot' action in the exotics. Nothing in the DD coming into the race, 18-1 bell to bell. So the investigators are not likely to to find anything in the parimutuel pools .

That double ,as I've said, was probably a $500 or so cold punch made overseas ( I assume they take DD bets with a payoff limit) , and laid off into the track pool to avoid loss. Could have been more, and only some was bet on track. Otherwise it would have been ridiculous to bet that much on track by the owners, into a tiny pool. No way to be sure, but that's my best guess
