Havent been there in 25-30 years, but the place is downright awesome....or at least it was 25 years ago. Back then the South China Morning Post had amazing coverage.....huge amounts of data available there and onsite racing program. Food also phenomenal (or was). Wish I could give more advice. One thing I would say, the population of horses there is mighty static....shippers come in (largely from Australia and New Zealand)....but you just treat them as first time Hong Kong....they dont leave........you can get a lot of mileage just out of going through the meet's charts...way more than a place in the USA. Good luck and enjoy! Also, very interesting betting menu. Of course, all my info very dated. If you have time, you may want to take the hydrofoil over to Macau. They have a track there. You can bet in either Patakas or Hong Kong dollars (or at least used to be able to). Good place to go if you like to take weight assignments into your handicapping consideration. They have a bunch of equine television channels...one where you can see all horses; workouts on a loop.
