Bit is correct. I'm sure MG and his pals (where's Larmey's usual quick stance at this time??) had stats like trainer Emm Cee, son of a French trainer, has a 48% record first after Shock Wave treatment in turf routes. This is a fictious example but highlights the point.

There are different degrees of information available I understand also. For instance, a horse you want to claim has a bar shoe on one of his feet. Now your trainer can look at that foot closer on the walk over before deciding Yes or No to claim. It may say a scratch due to Lameness. Well some folks can see the Vet report associated with that and others can not. This is how it was explained to me.

So you can start to see the value of that information. As we know though, one vet's opinion of Lameness or other issues may vary from another vet's opinion on a horse.
