I have an opinion regarding the performance enhancing effect of lasix, but that isn't why I am here.

Most stakes races for 3yo and up contain the language that reads "no lasix within 48 hours of post time pursuant to HISA rule 4212."

My question: Are horses treated with lasix between races? Would this occur before a stiff work? Any reason I might have missed?

I've always assumed lasix was something applied only on race day, but having not been around barns - IDK the answer. Anyone have an insight?
