I almost remember (lol) when they took away lasix from the 2yo BC races. Maybe the Shanghai Bobby year? It seemed like they slowed down a couple points.

I couldn't be bothered to try to identify a runners non-lasix races from his with-lasix races to try to determine he cannot perform at top ability without it. Too much work.

My simplistic view is that many runners perform abnormally worse the first time minus it. I know there are exceptions, and a strong condition line will overcome it. But after the first time sans lasix, I pretty much ignore the whole thing. Possibly a crude way to deal with it, but I had to find a way to quantify lasix on/off, and that is what I came up with.

This has brought some ridicule, but I don't want to spend too much time on something I find hard to quantify.
