During the week, I had been looking forward to doing some thoroboots on the ground
reporting from Oceanport, New Jersey where the long anticipated sports book was
supposed to open on Sunday at Monmouth Park.

I looked forward to redboarding a large Bills/Over wager, to reporting on a chat I
had with Governor Christie at the hot dog stand, and finally at the end of the day,
seeing the federales move in and surround the entire facility with yellow
crime scene tape, much as they did near the end of the movie "Casino".

Late last week, US District Judge Michael Shipp issued an injunction preventing the
sports book from opening Sunday, bringing joy to bookies everywhere and prevented
what promised to be a grand opening and the beginning of a brave new wagering world.
