One old, one new.
Old Suggestion: Stop trying to market racing and the racetrack experience to
Ward, June, Wally and the Beaver (concentrate on Eddie Haskell). Spend a large
portion of your marketing budget on folks who have already shown a propensity
to wager in other areas: casinos, sports, trotters, lottery. Park the shuttle
buses outside the GA meetings. I am not going to hold my breath here because
NYRA will not (or is not permitted to) promote thoroughbred racing in Genting's
shooting gallery located next to Aqueduct.
New Suggestion: Try to work on package pricing for
admissions/parking/concessions.Get your highly paid Chief (in)Experience(d)
Officer to work on this and get the end users (racing fans) involved. Offer
VALUE.
I will be in town to play in the TG open (looking to shoot a high round and
spend the night with known "cougar" ML Whitney). If you would like to discuss
either suggestion, contact me c/o Living Room Downs. My fee: $200 per day plus
expenses (any "Rockford Files" fans out there?)
