The seminar started on a down note as TGJB was ill and unable to give the seminar.
As belmont3 noted earlier - we used the analysis as our starting point and did go through all the races. Topcat, belmont3, Dave and Jim were in attendance. Uncle Bill offered his thoughts and noted that TGJB liked the Jacobson horse in the first.
We adjourned to the backyard and then the day seemed to continue on an off note with the announcement that Maggie would not be offering analysis on the races. Nevertheless, we soldiered on - the day started slowly. The analysis pegged Power Nap in the third and betting was light until the ninth. The analysis picked the 11 at 15 to 1. The odds kept climbing and was over 30-1 at one point. We all jumped in in various ways - my daughter hit the exacta for over 300. Topcat had the win (56.50) and double; I had the win and place and was nosed out for the 800 dime super and best of all belmont3 keyed a 1,900 pick 3 starting with this race. Cavorting interrupted the good news, but Topcat hit the win and late double in the eleventh. Uncle Bill was able to get out for the meet.
The people in the backyard looked with amusement at all these crazy (young?) guys jumping up and down cheering these big longshots.
Belmont3 treated us to dinner at The Brook Tavern including delicious crab cakes.
Thanks to TGJB and TGAB for their work all summer.
Hopefully, FrankD can make it today and takeover reporting duties.
