The contest I proposed was going to be over a very long length of time (6 months), with picks and results posted on the Drf site, me vs. Friedman, who is virtually identical in terms of sheet reading with me--we went to the track together hundreds of time. The differences are in betting style, and of course data used--not just figures, but trainer and pedigree info.
