For the record, I don't find Friedman's analysis helpful from a betting standpoint at all. It's very mealy-mouthed.

I use Friedman's picks for comparison purposes only and occasionally as a check to see if I have any strong disagreements with his reads. I never let it influence my betting strategy anymore.

The last time I actually let his picks influence me was the 1999 B.C. at CD when he was all over Affirmed Success and some other horse in the sprint who had just ran a huge fig. Thank God we saved with Reraise as the top picks ran terrible, which is what I thought they would run.

I do find it amusing that certain readers appear to wait with baited breath for his big race analyses.
