Interesting card and difficult to bet in advance. It looks like I have landed on several of the same horses as many so I guess it may come down to who makes the smartest (or luckiest wagers).

Win Bets:

I will bet half the bankroll on win bets. $125 to win on each of the following horses for a total of $500 bet to win:

Race 3: 2-horse-entry (#1) if odds 7/2 or better AND both halves of the entry run
Race 4: Transcendental (#6) if odds are 7/2 or better
Race 7: Babae (#2) if odds are 5/2 or better AND the race goes on the turf
Race 10: Perfect Drift (#6) with no stipulations other than that he enters.

IF ANY OF THE ABOVE HORSES SCRATCH OR THE ODDS CRITERIA ARE NOT MET, then 80% of the unbet money should be bet on Perfect Drift to win, 10% on a Perfect Drift/War Emblem exacta box and 10% on a Perfect Drift/Proud Citizen exacta box. This will ensure that all $500 gets wagered in the contest as long as Perfect Drift does not scratch. If Perfect Drift scratches, then I guess it was just not in the cards for me to win this conteest...

Exacta/Trifecta Bets:

I will bet a total of $380 on exactas and trifectas.

Race 3: $20 exacta boxes: 1-2 and 1-3 ($80 total)
Race 4: $10 straight exactas: 6-2 and 6-8 and a $20 exacta box 6-4 ($60 total)
Race 7: $20 exacta boxes: 2-1, 2-3 and 2-8 ($120 total and ONLY IF ON TURF)
Race 7: $1 Trifecta part wheel, 2 with 2,3,6,8 with 2,3,6,8 ($12 total TURF ONLY)
Race 7: $1 Trifecta part wheel, 2,3,6,8 with 2 with 2,3,6,8 ($12 total TURF ONLY)
Race 10: $4 exacta boxes 6-3 and 6-4 and $20 exacta boxes 6-9 and 6-10 ($96)

IF ANY HORSES ON THE ABOVE WAGERS SCRATCH (OR IF RACE 7 IS OFF THE TURF) then 80% of the unbet money should be bet on Perfect Drift to win, 10% on a Perfect Drift/War Emblem exacta box and 10% on a Perfect Drift/Proud Citizen exacta box.

Pick 3 Bets (I was going to try the P6 and the P4 but the 11th race was impossible):

These are all $1 Pick 3's (AND ONLY IF TURF RACES ARE ON TURF) and I will bet a total of $118 on them.

Races 3-4-5: 1 with 2,4,6,8 with 1,5 ($8 total)
Races 3-4-5: 1,2,3 with 4,6 with 1,5 ($12 total)
Races 4-5-6: 4,6 with 2,5 with 1,4,5 ($12 total)
Races 4-5-6: 2,4,6,8 with 2,5 with 1,4 ($16 total)
Races 5-6-7: 2,5 with 1,4,5 with 2 ($6 total)
Races 5-6-7: 2,5 with 1,4 with 1,2,3,8 ($16 total)
Races 6-7-8: 1,4 with 1,2,3,8 with 3,6 ($16 total)
Races 6-7-8: 1,4,5 with 2 with 3,6 ($6 total)
Races 6-7-8: 1,4 with 2 with 1,3,6,8 ($8 total)
Races 7-8-9: 2 with 3,6 with 1,3,4 ($6 total)
Races 7-8-9: 2 with 1,3,6,8 with 1,3,4 ($12 total)

IF ANY HORSES ON THE ABOVE WAGERS SCRATCH (OR IF RACE THE RACES ARE TAKEN OFF THE TURF) then 80% of the unbet money should be bet on Perfect Drift to win, 10% on a Perfect Drift/War Emblem exacta box and 10% on a Perfect Drift/Proud Citizen exacta box.

That will leave me with $2 if I fail to cash a ticket so that I will avoid the log-jam tied for last.

As Harvey Pack once said, "It’s the most fun you can have with the lights on."

Good luck to all.

Chris
