It's not an in-depth discussion, but he does confirm that the chute gtes different maintenance than the rest of the track (sprint/route variability), that tides, shade, sun and wind affect moisture content, and that different parts of tracks are watered differently (because of shade). He also says tracks should be 10% moisture at all times but it is very hard to keep it that way because of "the wind the sun and the elements".
