I have pretty strong feelings on this subjest. I beleive that it is much easier to beat a race than 3 or 4 races. It is also easier to isolate one horse in any given race than to isolate several horses in the same race. Going back to the infamous
BEL DAY contest, I played two horses to win invseperate races & split my mythical 1000.00 bets equally on each of them.
Many folks did much more in the way of
spohisticated wagering that obviously took alot more thought to arrive at their decisions. I'm not saying I don't play exactas and the like but I always play at least 2/3 of my wager on ONE horse.
It works for me and keeps me focussed on finding value and prevents me from too many
"use lightly in exotics" scenarios.
