WOW, can't belive the postings on the "grumpy old men" board. Friedman flat out will not discuss..
- Whether or not they make a differnt variant for sprints than routes
- The fact that they had Monarchos bouncing before last year's KY Derby also
- And then he makes some childish remark in another thread about TGs horses finishing last
It doesn't take a genius to realize that if they had Saarland moving 3 points forward off his last, there is something seriously wrong. Either the wood figures are too fast or the gotham figures are too slow. The BRIS figures for the Gotham show a huge effort pace-wise racing 3 wide and closing 3 lenghts in the stretch, and the wood was 3 points better than that? That deserves an explaination.
I'm anxiously looking forward to the in-depth analysis, and Jerry, thank you for taking the time to explain how you come about some of your figures instead of taking the "just believe what I'm saying and don't ask questions" approach taken by the other camp. Gives you a world more of credibility in my book.
