Phil: Great analysis. If the boys at TG get lazy & don't want to do any work, all they need to do is put the sheets up as the ROTW and put your analysis in.
I think if we're going by the numbers half the field is faster (at least on tops) than Bobby's Kitten. The odds of him leapfrogging 6 or 7 horses are tough to take as the favorite. Now the one positive I see is he got back to his 2yo top in his 3yo debut, so he could be set for an explosive move forward.
Richie: I'm not looking for the length of the workouts as much as a sign that with good works, Extra is going to run his race. His race is fast enough to blow this field away. The works indicate he's not off form. I also think his bad start (the extent is clearly debatable but he did get bumped and was stuck behind a wall of horses in the beginning of the Gotham) really compromised him last out and the race is a total toss. Hey if I'm right I'll have my Derby $ and if I'm wrong it won't be the 1st time.
