with tensions running high on the board (as they do every year this time), I thought I would offer a break from our regularly scheduled programming to let everyone know about a terrific new piece of fiction that has a big horse racing element to it

I just finished reading it last night

certainly not a feel good horse story but I really loved the characters in the book

it's fiction but obviously based on not so thinly veiled real life people and situations that we all know and love/like/hate in the racing business

for anyone who needs a break from staring at the advance TGs and PPs but who wants to stay in the Derby mindset, it's a perfect elixir
