Most of us have learned that statistics can sometimes be a great indicator and nearly as often can be misleading.
Invasor is the grandson of Blushing Groom(FR) which is certainly a turf positive. His dam side are all South Americans. The lack of turf racing in S.A. distorts any of those stats.
Regarding his progeny, I have not researched the details but I am of the opinion that (generally) early success on the dirt would reduce sample size of turf efforts and therefore distort statistical summaries. Additionally, poor dirt performers (those lacking so-called brilliance) could end up as career also ran turfers.
Then there is the dam side to consider. Bottom line... putting Invasor in the negative column of turf sires may be a rush to judgement. I regard him as a stamina influence and longer turf races may serve his progeny well.
TG has stated repeatedly that good turf horses run consistent tight patterns. So, I think the lack of figure variance speaks well of the two horses in question.
